It is a stretch to say this article in Sunday’s New York Times is about real estate, but I’m posting a link to it because it is about Colorado and alternative energy production, a promising economic development path for the state.
The article regards the Southern Ute tribe’s venture into bio-fuel.
And the tribe does have real estate holdings. I reported at the Rocky Mountain News that it had invested in Belmar mixed-use community in Lakewood with Continuum Partners and for a time it invested in New Town Builders, one of the greenest production builders in Denver.
Anyway, it is an interesting read.
