<description>I live in Colorado and I am on a house loan with my daughter the type of loan that we have is called a CHFA loan and it is through Colorado housing and finance have been trying to get this loan modified for about a year with no luck the lender keeps telling us that a CHFA loan does not qualify for any government programs but I am wondering why not because we were told that a CHFA loan is through the government and is the same as a FHA loan . Any information you can provide is greatly aprecated.

<description>[...] CHFA to get additional financing: The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority will be getting additional help from Uncle Sam to help low-and moderate income home buyers get mortgages and provide more affordable rental housing in the state, under a plan unveiled today by the Obama Administration. Details of the plan, such as the amount available to CHFA and groups like it, and the exact number of people it could help in Colorado, are not yet known.
