Saturday solar tourThe Boulder-based American Solar Energy Society on Saturday held a nationwide tour of homes that generate electricity from solar panels and other renewable sources . The Boulder edition of the tour was LAST weekend, but the DENVER tour of solar homes is this Saturday, Oct. 3rd. I describe it in my column this week which is archived at http://www.ecentral.com/members/jimsmith/Columns/Oct1YH.pdf . It should be noted that the tour includes far more than photovoltaic installations. On the tour are homes with geothermal, solar thermal, passive solar, straw bale construction, and all kinds of green building practices.
