Sounds like a great read! Its sad that some people use every opportunity to make a buck. I'm a Charlotte Real Estate Agent myself and am lucky enough to not have been sued before. I can't imagine the hassle that must come with law suits!

What a coincidence this guy is in Boulder. In the mid 90's I was engaged as an "expert witness" by a well known Boulder law firm to testify on construction defects in cases they'd brought. What an eye opener! I was coached in my testimony with the stated goal of making defects sound more serious than they were. I was told I had to charge "at least" $150 an hour so I'd look more credible. In my last experience I commented in front of the client that the defects being alleged were simple things the builder could fix in a couple of hours (Unknown to me at the time the lawyer had barred the builder from the house). In front of this client I was fired in an emotional bloviation, sent packing, and not paid for my work since my last billing. Then, of course there is the time I was sued for construction defects…BECAUSE I DIDN'T HOOK THE BUYERS TELEPHONE!!
