This blog cutting edge of new media

By reading InsideRealEstateNews you are not only learning about the Denver-area real estate market, but are participating in something that may be at the vanguard of the new media. At least that is according to an analysis by Joe Weber.

Joe and I used to work together on the business staff of the Rocky Mountain News, Colorado’s oldest ongoing business, until it closed two years ago in February.

A major scoop Joe had at the News included letting the world know about the former penny stock swindler Meyer Blinder. Joe’s stories about the Blinder, the deposed king of penny stocks, gained national attention and resulted on a crackdown of the risky investment vehicle that had been flourishing in Denver. Joe went on to bigger and better things, becoming a star writer and editor at Business Week. Now he teaches a journalism class at the University of Nebraska.

Last week, I spoke by phone to Joe and his class. Professor Joe and his students asked excellent questions.

Joe surprised me by blogging about me and InsideRealEstateNews.
