Jacque Wedding-Scott has announced her resignation as City Manager from the City of Centennial. Wedding-Scott has been with the city for nearly five years. She began her career at Centennial as Deputy City Manager for one year, becoming the City Manager in 2007.
During her tenure as chief executive, Wedding-Scottn was at the helm of the city during the construction and opening of Colorado’s first and only IKEA store. She also oversaw the city’s continued growth, with the completion of major capital improvement programs, significant community development projects, the purchase and renovation of a new civic center and the design of a major park. In addition, she led the largest conversion of public works services from the public to private sector. The City of Centennial prides itself on the public private partnerships developed throughout the past five years.
For much of her term, Wedding-Scott led the City’s staff through challenging economic times, achieving positive financial results and building the City’s reserves.
“City Council recognizes the important role Ms. Wedding-Scott filled as City Manager and we sincerely appreciate her extraordinary list of accomplishments. We wish her every success,” said Centennial Mayor Cathy Noon.”
The Acting City Manager is Dave Zelenok.
