Ritter, Heavy Hitters honored

The Denver Metropolitan Commercial Association of Realtors, better known as DMCAR,  has honored the areas top commercial real estate producers of 2011 in land, industrial, multi-family, office, investment, retail and small office broker categories.

They are the Heavy Hitters.

In addition, to naming Heavy Hitters, DMCAR also recognized a Young Broker of Denver, Top Landlord companies in the office, retail and industrial categories and paid tribute to Matt Ritter of Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors as its Broker of the Year.

Ritter  and business partner, Jeff Johnson, have built at Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors into almost a  40-broker organization. Originally from Chicago and with his bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State University, Ritter followed his desire to come to Colorado, a place he had visited many times throughout his childhood and a place he believed would create the quality of life he envisioned for his future.

“He has big ideas, and the energy and passion to make great things happen,” Johnson said. “But most importantly, Matt truly cares about the success and well being of those around him, including his family, friends, co-workers and clients.”

Meanwhile, DMCAR’s 2011 Heavy Hitters award winners by category:

Nick Pavlakovich of Cushman & Wakefield's was named the top office broker in DMCAR's annual Heavy Hitters award ceremony.

Top Land Broker – Chris Cowan, ARA Denver – an eight-year veteran of the industry, Cowen completed 10 transactions in 2011 totaling $27.4 million in production including closing four deals that originally went under contract in 2008, came off the table due to market conditions, then came to fruition in 2011.

Top Industrial Broker – Jim Bolt, CBRE – he completed 98 transactions totaling $57.5 million in personal production on his way to earning his 15th Heavy Hitters title in the past 18 years.

 Top Multi-Family Brokers – Doug Andrews and Jeff Hawks, ARA Denver – partners for two decades, the team completed 16 sales in the red-hot Multi-Family market in 2011 totaling $236 in personal production and earning their 19th Heavy Hitters title in 20 years.

 Top Office Broker – Nick Pavlakovich, Cushman & Wakefield of Colorado, Inc. – a 26-year veteran of commercial real estate, he completed 61 deals in 2011 totaling $121.9 million in personal production including his roles on the sale of the former Qwest Building and the consolidation and expansion for Jacobs Engineering in downtown Denver.

Top Investment Brokers –– Tim Richey and Mike Winn, Cushman & Wakefield of Colorado Inc .– completed 14 deals, including, for the second year in a row, Denver’s largest commercial real estate transaction of the year, the sale of the former Qwest Building in downtown Denver. The Winn Richey Team compiled $345 million in production and earned their 9th Heavy Hitters in Investment title in the past 10 years.

Top Retail Broker – Jon Weisiger, CBRE – a 23-year industry professional, he completed 83 deals, totaling $49.3 million in personal production in 2011 as he and his team kept their eye on the retail concepts and trends from coast to coast.

Top Small Office Broker – Natasha Felten, Colorado Commercial Cos. – a 15-year industry veteran, Felten completed 43 deals in 2011 totaling $15.7 million in personal production.

Young Broker of Denver: Recognized for his early career success and professional commitment was Mark Favro, DMCAR’s 2011 Young Broker of Denver. The Cushman & Wakefield broker was involved in seven deals completed in 2011 totaling $46.7 million in personal production. Favro was selected from a group of young professionals with less than three years of broker experience.

Top Landlord Honorees:

For the first time,  DMCAR recognized the Top Landlords in the Office, Retail and Industrial categories. Association members were asked to submit nominations for their top choices in the submarket that the individual broker practices
