Stapleton has been ranked as the ninth best selling master planned community in the U.S., according to a national study.
Stapleton broke into the top 10 category in the 2012 rankings developed by Metrostudy, after being ranked 15th last year. The ranking covers the period from July 2011 through June 2012. Established in 1975, Metrostudy provides primary and secondary market information to the housing and related industries nationwide.
“This ranking confirms what we hear from homebuyers over and over again: the quality of life and the housing values and choices at Stapleton make it one of the most desirable places to purchase a home,” said John S. Lehigh, president of Forest City Stapleton, Inc., master developer for community, one of the nation’s largest redevelopment projects that is near a major downtown.
“As we prepare to extend our highly successful residential program north of Interstate 70 later this year with the creation of “Conservatory Green,” Stapleton’s next great neighborhood, it is gratifying to receive this recognition that our community continues to be ranked as one of the most successful real estate developments in the nation,” Lehigh added.
Stapleton’s new Conservatory Green neighborhood will consist of approximately 500 homes anticipated to be priced from the $100,000s to the $800,000s.
Homes in the Conservatory Green neighborhood of Stapleton will be within walking distance to a new network of parks and open space, as well as more than 1 million square feet of The Shops at Northfield Stapleton, which Forest City opened in 2006. The Shops at Northfield Stapleton is anchored by Macy’s, Harkins Theatres Northfield 18, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, JCPenney, SuperTarget and more than 60 shops and restaurants.
