Realtors at Kentwood City Properties sold a record $527.4 million in real estate in 2012, shattering the company’s previous record of $327 million set in 2011, according to a report released today.
The $200 million jump in sales, equates to about a 66 percent year-over-year increase.
Kentwood City Properties is one of three locally owned offices that comprise Kentwood Real Estate. Kentwood Real Estate also had a record year, closing 3,272 real estate transactions for $1.7 billion in sales. Kentwood Real Estate company is celebrating its 32nd year anniversary this year.
Kentwood City Properties, founded in 1999, operates from a single office with a total of 52 broker associates, and also serves home buyers and sellers outside the City of Denver. The company’s office is at 17th and Wynkoop streets, across from Denver Union Station.
“Our sales volume and market share for 2012 were extremely impressive and these totals are a testament to the professionalism, work ethic and dedication of our real estate professionals,” said Jim Theye, managing broker and co-owner of Kentwood City Properties.
“Since our inception, our goal has always been to establish our office as No. One in Denver while providing unparalleled service to our home buying and selling clients,” Theye said. “We have now achieved this goal and can now focus on establishing even loftier goals and standards of excellence in 2013 and for years to come.”
The old saw in real estate is that the three most critical components in selling a home are: location, location, location. The location of a real estate office also can’t be dismissed, according to Theye.
He said one key to the company’s success has been “our great location right across from Union Station that has helped attract many of the area’s top brokers and many new client.” He also noted that the office has added a full-time commercial broker, which “helps set us apart from the competition.”
