- The Wall Street Journal spotlights Cherry Hills Village.
- The WSJ calls CHV one of the most affluent communities in the U.S.
- It quotes Kentwood broker Chuck Gargotto on bidding wars.
In case you missed it, last week the Wall Street Journal published an article about the sizzling Cherry Hills Village housing market.
The WSJ quoted Chuck Gargotto, a Kentwood Real Estate Co. broker, saying the Cherry Hills Village market is so hot that some potential buyers are writing letters to convince owners to sell their homes. He also noted there have been bidding wars.
The article also quoted independent broker Gary Bauer as saying the inventory for the ritzy neighborhood is at a 35-year low.
Titled, “The Land of Horses and Broncos,” the 1,003-word article kicks off with Peyton Manning paying $4.58 million for a 16,464-square-foot gated home in Cherry Hills Village, after he signed with the Denver Broncos as its quarterback.
The name-dropping continued, with the WSJ pointing out that other residents of Cherry Hills Village include Pat Bowlen, owner of the Broncos; former Broncos quarterback John Elway, who is now an executive at the Broncos; John Sie, founder of what is now Starz Entertainment; Sharon Magness Blake, widow of cable-TV mogul Bob Magness and David Mandarich, president of Denver-based homebuilding giant, MDC Holdings.
The article included a video, a slideshow and let us know that about a quarter of the roads aren’t paved in Cherry Hills Village.
