REcolorado revamps website

  • Metrolist redesigns REcolorado.com.
  • Site has more features for Realtors, consumers.
  • Customizing possible with updated site.

Metrolist, Colorado’s largest multiple listing service, recently rolled out its completely redesigned REcolorado.com website, a free resource for Colorado home buyers, sellers and owners.

logo-retina1The enhanced REcolorado.com website allows consumers and real estate professionals to better coordinate their efforts by leveraging new online resources with new home listing updates every 15 minutes, making the process of home buying and selling more effective and pleasant than ever before, according to the Realtor-owned Metrolist.

“REcolorado.com was created to better suit the needs and wants of Colorado’s brokers, agents, homebuyers and sellers,” said Kirby Slunaker, CEO and president of Metrolist, Inc.

“The new website empowers homebuyers with access to some of the same information as the professionals and will enable stronger working relationships between brokers, agents and their clients,” he said.

REcolorado.com utilizes real estate broker and agent listing photos to showcase properties and neighborhoods, and places a heavy emphasis on preferred lifestyles.

The new website will feature many different homebuyer profiles with specific, persona-driven data.

Profiles were created for the young family, first time homebuyer, empty nester, investor, active lifestyle, urban and architectural homebuyer.

Each homebuyer profile is complete with its own unique landing page and information relevant to that particular lifestyle for an enhanced, streamlined user experience.

The redesigned site also features a variety of customized search capabilities.

The “new construction” search filters all new construction listings and the “open house” search tool identifies, tracks and maps available open houses.

The site also boasts a “Find a Realtor” tool, which allows consumers to search for realtors and agents that meet their specific needs or specialize in a particular region of Denver metro area.

REcolorado.com also offers a home valuation tool for owners considering listing their home, loan calculators with current rates, current housing news and neighborhood information.

REcolorado.com provides both Realtors and consumers with a single destination for the most current new and sold listing on the market, with 15 minute updates made available by the new CoreLogic® Matrix MLS system.

The new website will meet all of the needs served by the original Metrolist site, and allows for all Denver real estate professionals and homebuyers to enjoy the new state-of-the-art MLS system, according to Metrolist.

“We are always looking for better ways to serve our customers, and we are proud to create the go-to resource for Colorado real estate professionals and homebuyers,” said Slunaker.

“REcolorado.com is the first step on your journey home.”

Jim Smith, owner of Golden Real Estate, is a fan.

“It’s a whole new platform,” Smith said. “That is a better way to describe it than just to say it is a redesigned website.”

He said that for many year, Metrolist went its own way instead of embracing the technology that many other MLS agencies were using across the U.S.

“They were trying to re-invent the wheel, which was stupid,” Smith said.

“I think all of us (in the Denver-area Realtor community) are relieved that Metrolist has finally taken the plunge,” he said.

One of the things he likes about the redesigned REcolorado.com is that it has many more fields to post details.

For example, a Realtor can now post information about secondary rooms in a house and not just the main rooms, he said.

“I am happy with it, although it has taken a little getting used to,” Smith said.

“But I will say this. Its launch has gone a lot smoother than either the national or state health care exchanges.”
